Amidst the title clinching Le Mans 2008 winning Audi R10 TDI and stunningly powerful vocals, Premium Automobiles opened the doors to their brand new Audi showroom located along 9, Leng Kee Road. The new $5-million showroom has been built to accommodate Audi's fast growing model line-up and help meet increased demand for Audi cars in Singapore. During the past 12 months, Audi has launched four new models in Singapore, and plans to introduce another four before the end of 2008. They include the Audi TTS, RS6, A4 Avant and A3. In addition, there are several new models earmarked for introduction to Singapore in 2009.
The new showroom measures 10,000 sq ft and can display up to 16 vehicles across two levels. The second level is a dedicated display of Audi's top-of-theline S and RS models, with an Audi Exclusive corner offering an array of options such as special leather and paint finishes to personalise customers' cars.
The new building follows Audi's Terminal architecture design and features the industry's only all-glass vehicle lift, which transports cars up to the showroom floor on the second level.
Audi's growing product range comes as the company experiences record sales success in Singapore. This year it achieved record sales for the first six months of any calendar year: Audi Singapore sold 646 cars, a 41% increase over the same period in 2007.
"Audi continues to be the fastest growing prestige car brand in Singapore and around the world," said Reinhold Carl, Managing Director, Audi Singapore. "Local drivers associate the Audi brand with being progressive, sporty and sophisticated, and we continue to grow in popularity among discerning Singaporeans who identify with the brand."
Chief Operating Officer of Premium Automobiles, Marc Singleton, has said the new showroom will improve the customer experience for existing and prospective Audi customers. "The new showroom provides a larger, better equipped space for customers to view the complete range of Audi models," he added. "Premium Automobiles is very pleased to be working closely with Audi as the market for Audi cars in Singapore reaches new highs. This new showroom symbolizes the next phase of growth of the brand in Singapore."
To mark the launch of the new Audi showroom, the winning Audi R10 TDI from 24 hours Le Mans 2008 driven by Tom Kristensen, Allan McNish and Dino Capella will be on display until 10 August 2008. Customers visiting the showroom this weekend will also enjoy exclusive celebration offers across the range and to top it off, they will also receive complimentary one-year fuel vouchers.
In addition to the new Leng Kee showroom, Premium Automobiles has also opened a new pre-delivery inspection (PDI) centre at 15 Tuas Link 1. At 80,000sq ft, the PDI centre has a capacity of 250 cars, up from the current 10 at Audi Customer Service Centre at 55 Ubi Road 1.
