30-year old Dutchman Wiebe Wakker has arrived in Singapore after starting his journey in an electric car in Amsterdam.

Crisscrossing the world in an electric car without any money; his route determined by anyone willing to provide food, shelter and a chance to recharge his vehicle. Far-fetched as this idea may seem, that is what 30-year old Wiebe Wakker, who recently arrived in Singapore, is doing. Many fans are following his trip online and commiserating with his beautiful and challenging moments.

The adventurous Dutchman, set out on 15th March 2016 from Amsterdam bound for Australia, on a unique global mission to promote sustainability in daily life and showcase electric mobility. Wakker relies on the crowd to reach his goal. His website plugmeinproject.com offers people the opportunity to support him with energy. So far, more than 1,100 people from 45 countries and five continents have plugged him in.

His route is also determined by this generosity, which has seen Wakker zigzagging across Europe. He later became the first ever person to cross the Middle East and India by electric car and now, 560 days and 28 countries later, Wakker reached Singapore last Thursday, after traveling through Malaysia.
