Being in the know certainly paid off for three new Nissan car owners. In the first of four draws for "It’s a Crime to Ignore Nissan’s $300,000 Cash Windfall" campaign, three customers walked away with over $56,000 in cold, hard cash.
Coincidentally, all winners turned out to be new owners of the Nissan Latio in the popular Amethyst Gray colour.
First prize winner, Mr. Sito Wai Kwong, 55, proud owner of his new Nissan Latio Premium said, "I'm still trying to believe that I'm the first winner of the Nissan $300,000 Cash Windfall! I bought the Nissan Latio Premium because I enjoyed my previous Nissan Latio very much, and was impressed by what the Premium could offer. I never expected to win $28,888, thank you Tan Chong!"
While the happy winner has not made any big decisions about how he will be celebrating his huge windfall, he knows he's going to save up the cash and enjoy it in the future.
Winner of the second prize of $18,888, Mr. Teoh Thiam Beng, 32, said, "I’m really thrilled because this is the best early Christmas gift ever!" On why he decided to buy a Nissan car, he said, "I’ve heard many positive things about Nissan from my friends and colleagues, and they all agree that the brand offers reliant and well-built cars. Also, I was attracted to the Latio Sport because the exterior design of the hatchback looks simply awesome!"
The campaign, which is on-going, saw Tan Chong Motor’s Sergeant Kam Liat Yu venturing into central business districts, heartlands and Singapore’s main shopping belt to "issue fines" to people who were unaware about the promotion as part of its guerrilla stunt.
Mr. Ron Lim, General Manager, Sales and Marketing of Tan Chong Motor Sales said, "We are extremely excited by the level of enthusiasm and interest displayed by our customers. Sergeant Kam Liat Yu certainly caused a stir and since the launch of the campaign in October, we have received encouraging response and we’re definitely seeing more traffic in our showrooms. Tan Chong Motor will continue to actively engage our customers with similar promotions!"
The closing date to qualify for the campaign’s second draw is on 9 December 2009.
