Subaru to launch the Impreza WRX STI Special Edition at Los Angeles

All 125 units of the Impreza WRX STI Special Edition will be painted in Aspen White, matched with charcoal coloured 18-inch rims, and will go on sale early next year following its official launch at the Los Angeles Motor Show next month.

The WRX STI Special Edition is based on the Japanese-market only WRX STI Spec C model, and includes its performance suspension which comes with a thicker rear stabilizer bar, stiffened rear sub-frame bushings, as well as stiffer front springs and rear shocks.

The engine will be the same 2.5-litre turbocharged Boxer engine as the standard WRX STI, which produces 305bhp and 393Nm of torque, mated to a six-speed manual transmission. The WRX STI Special Edition will also feature Driver Controlled Centre Differential (DCCD), which helps manage power through the all-wheel drive system as well as a Brembo Performance Brake System.
