Mercedes-Benz SLK55 AMG tuned by Vath puts out 557bhp

Cosmetic enhancements to the SLK55 AMG include black carbon fibre front lips and a rear diffuser with large fins. 19-inch wheels finished in silver, black or any other colour upon request are wrapped in size 235/35 tyres at the front and 275/30 tyres at the rear. A six-piston brake system with 378-millimetre brake discs goes along with the wheels.

Under the bonnet, Vath has increased the 5.5-litre V8’s displacement up to 5.8-litres, and attached a compressor. As a result, power goes up from 355bhp and 510Nm of torque to 557bhp and 770Nm of torque. Vath says the modified SLK55 AMG can hit a top speed of 310km/h.

Other upgrades that Vath has given the SLK55 AMG include a performance chassis, an optional differential lock, high-grade steel catalysts, sports pistons, polished cylinder heads, a sports air filter, a long-stroke crankshaft and exhaust manifolds. The interior features a sports steering wheel with leather, carbon or fine wood trimming, depending on the customer’s request.
