Mazda releases the MX-5 Miyako Edition

The MX-5 Miyako Edition is available in the UK, and is named after a Japanese island. The special edition was designed to commemorate the roadster's 20th anniversary, and will be limited to just 500 units, which will go on sale on July 1.

Among the special features on the MX-5 Miyako Edition include fog lights, 17-inch alloy wheels, a front suspension strut brace, and free metallic paint in either Aluminium Silver or Velocity Red Mica. The interior meanwhile comes with perforated leather upholstery, red accent stitching, special badging, floor mats, and automatic climate control.

Two versions of the MX-5 Miyako Edition are available. The soft-top version is powered by a 1.8-litre four-cylinder engine that produces 124bhp and 167Nm of torque, and enables the car to go from 0-100km/h in 9.9 seconds, and reach a top speed of 195km/h. The MX-5 Miyako Roadster Coupe with the hardtop meanwhile, has a 2.0-litre four-cylinder with 158bhp and 188Nm of torque, which allows the car to accelerate from 0-100km/h in 7.9 seconds, and reach a top speed of 212km/h.
