Regardless of what you think of the Panamera, this car deserves respect.
It seats 4, in style and luxury. It can swallow a weekend's worth of luggage and shopping. Plus, if you fold the back seats down, you can haul the entire boutique back from Milan (but don't tell your wife).
But where this car really shines, is on the open road. Turbo models can hit 100 km/h in only 4.2 seconds. And on a skidpad, it can pull 0.92 G's!
In a 4-door saloon that's™phenomenal!
Well as it turns out, 25,000 people think so too. In less than a year, Porsche has managed to sell a record number of their hump-back super-saloons, which is pretty good considering that Porsche sold less than 100,000 total cars for 2007.
The 25,000th Panamera was built at the company's plant in Leipzig, Germany. It was Ruby Red, and featured the 300 bhp 3.6 litre 6-cylinder engine.
The milestone car will soon board a plane, and travel to America, where it will be delivered to the customer that ordered it.
We're not sure if the customer knew that they would be responsible for helping Porsche set a production record. However, they'll still be taking delivery of a really cool car™with a really cool story.
Can we say eBay?
