Other design changes include the mildly revised grille, bonnet, and front fenders, which now incorporates new triangular side vents, while the taillights have also been made bigger, and fitted with LEDs for the brake and signal lights. The boot lid is also a new design, while the XFR's new bumpers and alloy wheels are also featured.
Inside, the XF gains only minor changes, with just a new steering wheel, revised seats, a modified instrument panel and the optional 1200W Bowers & Wilkins premium sound system among the additions to the facelifted car.
Engine options are unchanged, with the exception of a new 2.2-litre four-cylinder turbo diesel unit that will be made available for European markets only. The new diesel engine produces 190bhp and 450Nm of torque, and is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
Jaguar says that the new 2.2-litre diesel allows the XF to go from 0-100km/h in 8 seconds, on to a top speed of 225km/h. The new engine joins the 5.0-litre naturally-aspirated V8 with 385bhp, the 5.0-litre supercharged V8 with 470bhp, and the XFR's 5.0-litre supercharged V8 with 510bhp in the XF's range.
