The 1.8-litre TFSI unit is already available for the TT Roadster, and Audi is now offering the same engine for the TT Coupe in the UK, in both Sport and S Line trim. The Audi TT 1.8 TFSI will become the new base model for the TT Coupe, below the TT 2.0 TFSI.The four-cylinder turbocharged engine produces 160bhp and 250Nm of torque, and power is sent to the front wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox. This enables the TT 1.8 TFSI Coupe to go from 0-100km/h in 7.2 seconds, and reach a top speed of 225km/h. When fitted with a double-clutch S tronic transmission, the century sprint time drops to 7.1 seconds.
Standard features on the Sport models include 17-inch alloy wheels, electronic climate control, leather and Alcantara combination upholstery and a Concert audio system with single CD player and MP3/iPod connectivity.
The S Line trim, meanwhile, gets 18-inch alloy wheels, a lowered sports suspension, a short-shift gearbox for manual versions, S line exterior and interior detailing and xenon headlights with LED daytime running lamps.
