The Bug’s 2.0-litre TFSI unit, which produces 200 hp and 280 Nm of torque has received an ECU tweak to produce 240 hp and a peak torque of 310 Nm.

On the road, the vehicle's sprint time from 0 to 60mph has been reduced to 6.9 seconds from the original 7.5 seconds, as well as an increase in top speed which see it go up from 223 km/h to 230 km/h.

JE Design also added a lowering suspension that brings the car 35 mm closer to the road, a set of multi-spoke lightweight alloy wheels that come in 19-inch size and allow customers to choose between four finishes, as well as a rear diffuser that houses a quadruple exhaust layout with 90 mm tailpipes linked to a custom rear silencer.
