Lamborghini unveils the Gallardo LP550-2 MLE

In a somewhat quiet affair apart from the normal buzz generated from the unveiling of a supercar, Lamborghini has quietly pulled off the wraps for the Gallardo LP550-2 MLE (Malaysia Limited Edition).A joint development between the automaker and its Malaysian importer, the special edition features a Superleggera 570-4 body kit featuring an aggressive front bumper, carbon fibre mirrors and a carbon fibre rear diffuser. The model will be offered in three colors: Bianco Monocerus (solid white), Verde Ithaca (pearl green) and Arancio Borealis (pearl orange).
As with the standard model, the MLE is powered by a naturally-aspirated 5.2-litre V10 engine that produces 542bhp and 540Nm of torque. It is connected to an e.gear transmission which should enable the car to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 320 km/h.
Production will be limited to 20 units and to be offered exclusively in Malaysia.
