Bosch Auto Clinic for Vios

The Automotive Aftermarket division of Robert Bosch (SEA) Pte Ltd hosted its first inaugural Bosch Auto Clinic event with a car enthusiasts group - VIOS Owners Group Singapore (VOGS) - on the 21 July 2012 at their Bosch premises located at Bishan Street. There was a total of about 55 members from VOGS who participated this event.

Many car owners today are not aware that the car is increasingly becoming a “computer on wheels” where only professional diagnosis systems can effectively flag out potential risks that the car may face. Therefore during this event, Bosch conducted complimentary car checks by our mechanics from Bosch Car Service Workshops using Bosch Scan Tool, an advanced technology test equipments for a thorough systems check.

Bosch also conducted a talk session, hoping to share good car maintenance habits with drivers who may lack knowledge of car care. This will help to reach out and educate drivers on the importance of timely servicing and maintenance to maximise the lifespan of their cars and achieve optimal performance. Car enthusiasts also found out about more than 10 categories of Bosch automotive products and why they are every driver’s “must-haves”.

An add on to the program was a facility tour to the Bosch Demo Centre which showcased what Bosch could offer at a glance, from the full range of auto parts to the whole line of professional vehicle test equipments. The participants was also entertained with some game challenges while waiting for their cars to be checked.

With its German origin and heritage, Bosch automotive parts have always perceived to be applicable for the continental cars which are not true. One of the objectives of this Bosch Auto Clinic was aimed at raising awareness to car owners that Bosch have available parts which are also a perfect fit for the Asian car models. Hence, there were complimentary Bosch auto parts for the participating VIOS car owners for their trial which could be fitted at Bosch Car Service Workshops.
