Mercedes-Benz showcase's first teaser for upcoming 2013 S-Class

The next generation Mercedes-Benz S-Class will be officially revealed next year. While testing prototypes have been caught on the web under heavy camouflage, Mercedes has revealed the first teaser shot of the upcoming flagship full size luxury car. Known internally as the W222, a relief-like sculpture entitled "Aesthetics S" will complement a projection display at the upcoming Paris Motor Show at the end of September.

"The sculpture highlights the artistic aspects of design. With the design and proportions of "Aesthetics S", we are communicating a modern sense of status, sensual shapes and stylish sportiness," explains Gorden Wagener, Head of Design at Mercedes-Benz Cars.

Wagner added that the design elements of the S-Class, include two strong, swoopy lines running across the profile of the car and will be a highlight feature across the firm's future lineup.

"The new S-Class will continue this tradition and, with its striking lines, will put a face to our design philosophy over the coming years," said Wagner.
