If rumours are true, Aston may create the biggest automotive joke

Aston Martin is a fine English automaker and though it does not boast performance figures like its Italian rivals, it is known to create some of the finest Grand Tourers. Then it decided to create the Cygnet - an uber expensive Toyota iQ. The Cygnet is an Aston city car for congested and narrow city streets that Aston customers can use during weekdays to commute in places like London.
Now if rumours are true, the Aston Martin Cygnet could be fitted with a V12 engine - if there is sufficient customer demand. Apparently Aston has finished a 'feasibility study' and its engineering team is more than capable of fitting its range topping 6.0-litre V12 in the city car's engine bay without extensive modifications.Besides fitting the V12 engine, other upgrades have to be made so as to allow the Cygnet to handle the weight, bhp and torque. It is possible Aston might detune the V12. The Cygnet is currently sold with a powertrain powered by Toyota's 97bhp 1.3-litre.
Aston Martin created the Cygnet back in 2011 and it has just outdone itself with the V12 Cygnet, if it enters production. From the One-77 Supercar to the V12 Cygnet - an interesting marketing plot isn't it?
