Chevrolet contemplating a rival model for the Toyobaru

Speaking with Motoring, General Motors' North America President Mark Reuss said a Toyota 86 competitor "would be a great entry for us" and it's on his wish list. Although he did not confirm if such a model was ready for production, he did mentioned that the entry-level sports can could be based on the the rear-wheel drive Alpha platform that underpins the Cadillac ATS.
It won't be easy to grab the market share from the 'Toyobaru' but we shall see if the American automaker will unfold more details of the model soon.
The launch of Toyota GT 86 and Subaru BRZ or 'Toyobaru' had shaken up the entry-level sports car market and automakers have not let it go unnoticed.
