A new report suggests that McLaren is currently in plans to develop a new entry-level model to be slotted below the MP4-12C.
It will be a two-seater sports car but with a proper trunk. The automaker is reportedly confident that this model will become the company's bestseller and intends to deliver between 2000-5000 units annually.
Under the hood, it will get a detuned version of the V8 twin-turbo powering the MP4-12C which should produce an output of approximately 500bhp.
Styling wise, it will borrow some styling cues from its P1 sibling with active aero elements, thin strips of LED along with swoops and curves. Styling cues from the recently introduced P1 will also be used, which means there will be several active aero elements, thin strips of LEDs, along with a lot of swoops and curves.
The model is expected to arrive sometime next year.
