Designed by BMW and built with select premium materials, the BMW Advanced Car Eye 2.0 (ACE2.0) camera seamlessly fits into BMW cars. The ACE 2.0 is equipped with a proximity and vibration sensor, which allows it to detect possible accidents or theft outside the car. It is also able to discern between everyday movements, and will only start recording when something out of the ordinary occurs.

With a 2.4 megapixel sensor, the ACE2.0 records full-HD videos with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 at a maximum of 60 frames per second (fps) and 30 fps for the front and rear respectively. As such, the ACE2.0 outperforms other popular in-car cameras which are only able to record at 30 fps. The high resolution of the ACE2.0 ensures a detailed image, while the higher frames per second allows clearer images to be taken, especially when the object is travelling at high speeds. The various sensors found in the ACE2.0 also work together to produce high-quality images regardless of time of day.
The ACE2.0 is also equipped with 150 degrees wide view angle glass lenses which enables it to capture a wider field of view, ensuring most of what you see as a driver is captured by the in-car camera as well. This is an upgrade from the 120 degrees viewing angle found on the ACE1.0, and also an edge over other in-car cameras which have 140 degrees viewing angle or less.
