BMW hits the two-million-EV mark

BMW has just produced its two-millionth, all-electric vehicle - a BMW i5 M60 xDrive sedan in Tansanit Blue - that will be going to a customer in Spain.

The model was built at Plant Dingolfing, which began series production of all-electric automobiles in 2021 with the BMW iX, and is also home to the most all-electric BMW vehicles. Since then, over 320,000 electrified vehicles have been built there - almost a sixth of BMW's two million BEVs.

And in 2025, more than a quarter of the vehicles produced at Plant Dingolfing were all-electric.

As Plant Dingolfing is part of the BMW iFactory, it continues to pursue a technology-open approach in its plants: Vehicles with different powertrains are flexibly produced in a mixed build on a single production line. For several years now, at least one all-electric model has been rolling off the line at every German BMW Group plant - e-mobility has become the new normal across the company's production network.
