"The Accord Coupe Concept will convey the dynamic and aggressive profile of the ninth-generation Honda Accord set to go on sale in 2012," Honda said in a short press statement. The model is expected to be offered for the American market, with Europe and the rest of the world receiving a different version of the Accord.
While the Japanese carmaker did not give out any more information regarding the concept or the production model, at the recent 2011 Tokyo Motor Show, Honda Motor President Takanobu Ito told reporters that the company's plans to launch a hybrid version of the next Accord sedan.
The all-new Accord Coupe concept study will be unveiled at the 2012 North American International Auto Show, which takes place in Detroit from January 10 to 23, and Honda says that the concept will preview the styling direction of the next-generation Accord that will be sold in both four-door sedan and two-door coupe body styles.
