Over the weekend, an exciting new spot for car enthusiasts opened its doors to the public. Occupying bicycle cafe, Wheeler's Yard's former location at 28 Lorong Ampas is the new Rounding cafe.
As an automotive-themed cafe, Rounding offers tasty dishes including steak and pasta, drinks, as well as Korean bingsu dessert.
Rounding is the latest automotive-themed cafe that serves up good food, along with sim-racing and car wash services
The aim is to create a space where like-minded car enthusiasts can hang out with each other comfortably.
Located within Rounding cafe is 99Bends, a simulator racing studio that aims to cultivate racecar drivers through sim-racing
But Rounding is much more than just a cafe, it is also the home to 99Bends, a racing simulator studio known for its co-founder Enzo Ng's 'sim to real life' experience. The team behind 99Bends believes in the benefits of simulator racing in cultivating the skillsets that are transferable to real life racing. With six racing simulators set up in the studio, visitors can race with each other on world-renowned racetracks without the excessive cost of racing in real-life, all while getting a realistic experience.
For those that are interested in stepping into the world of racing through sim-racing, the studio also offers packages that will include coaching sessions, and eventually get you into the seat of a race car. And for those who are already avid track drivers, you can also pop by to familiarise with the track of your choice (such as the neighbouring Sepang Circuit) and sharpen your driving skills.
Eat.Meet.Race.Wash - Rounding's tagline explains the idea behind the spot, a place for like-minded car enthusiasts to hang out, enjoy good food, race on the sim-racing rigs and get their cars washed
In addition to the food and sim-racing action, Rounding also offers car-wash services operated by car detailing shop, Coatconut. As you can see, the founders have thought of everything - keeping your car fresh, belly filled with good food and a spot for you to race it all out with your friends on the sim-racing rigs.
Rounding is located at 28 Lorong Ampas Singapore 328781.
