Xiaomi, more known for its phones than its cars, has announced a landmark partnership with Gran Turismo, a well-known name amongst racing gamers, which will see the Xiaomi SU7 featured in the globally-acclaimed racing simulator Gran Turismo 7.
At the partnership announcement event at Round One of the Gran Turismo World Series 2025, Gran Turismo creator Kazunori Yamauchi highlighted the Xiaomi SU7 as a standout vehicle in the smart EV segment, noting that its competitive performance at the Nurburgring Nordschleife demonstrated its formidable engineering capabilities.
The Xiaomi SU7 Ultra integrates proprietary innovations, including the brand's HyperEngine V8s, a self-developed tri-motor configuration system that offers a total output of 1,527bhp, a top speed exceeding 350km/h, and a century sprint timing of 1.98 seconds.
To deliver both outstanding performance and safety, Xiaomi conducts extended on-site development of its cars at legendary circuits including the Nurburgring. Technologies proven on these professional circuits are systematically adapted for production, transferring true race-derived engineering to road vehicles.
The Gran Turismo 7 racing simulator will integrate the Xiaomi SU7 Ultra through a co-development process with Xiaomi EV, authentically replicating its luxury aesthetics and driving dynamics, after which it will be available to players worldwide. Looking ahead, Xiaomi and Gran Turismo will further collaborate to develop the Xiaomi Vision Gran Turismo concept vehicle.
