Skoda Afriq student car enters testing phase

The testing phase of the Skoda Afriq Apprentice car has begun.
The eight Skoda Apprentice Car yet was deigned and built by 25 apprentices at the Skoda vocational school in Mlada Boleslav. This year, the Afriq student car will commemorate the Dakar Rally and marks the first time Skoda Motorsport is collaborating on the initiative.
The Skoda Afriq student car is said to use the 4x4 drivetrain from a Skoda Octavia. Experts from Skoda Motorsport also provided support with their technical expertise for the rally-specific interior equipment. The car is set to get racing seats from the successful Skoda Fabia Rally2 evo, complete with five-point seat belts.
