Skoda ninth student car named the Skoda Roadiaq
Skoda has revealed that the ninth edition Skoda apprentice car will be called the Skoda Roadiaq.
The name has been chosen as it underlines the adventurous spirit of modern explorers, in line with Skoda's current 'Let's Explore' slogan. For this student car, a total of 29 students at the Skoda Apprenticeship Centre in Mlada Boleslav will transform a battery-electric Skoda Enyaq into a multifunctional camper van and mobile-office vehicle, allowing it to offer plenty of space for both work and relaxation, as well as the ability to take travellers wherever they wish with its all-wheel drive technology.
As with the other student cars before, these apprentices will be offered plenty of assistance from Skoda's various departments, although this time, third-party camper van conversion specialists are also being called in for assistance.
These will no doubt aid in the Skoda Roadiaq's interior changes, which Skoda states, includes a small kitchen, integrated into what used to be the luggage compartment, as well as a tent, which is fitted into the tailgate to provide even more living space behind the vehicle. Skoda states that this modified interior will make use of sustainable materials. A permanent internet connection will additionally allow occupants to work and stream videos from anywhere. The Skoda Roadiaq is expected to make its official debut by June 2023.
