Swedish hypercar automaker Koenigsegg might dethrone mighty Bugatti Veyron

Anyway, the 2013 Agera R hypercar might be poised to take top spot in the fastest car category with a top speed of nearly 437km/h crushing the Veyron SuperSport’s top speed of 427km/h! The fastest Bugatti and car in the world currently could be 10km/h slower in coming months. 

Unlike the Bugatti with a monstrous quad turbocharged 8.0-Litre W16 engine, the 2013 Koenigsegg Agera R features a more powerful version of the current 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 that revs to a higher rev limit of 7,500rpm and features a revamped ECU.

Using E85 biofuel, the aluminum-titanium-carbon fiber built engine can put out 1,140hp, with a 960hp output with regular unleaded fuel.
