Volkswagen launches the Tiguan Match Edition

The Volkswagen Tiguan Match Edition replaces the SE trim level in the UK, and is available with a choice of two petrol or two diesel engines, with a 1.4-litre petrol TSI unit producing 150bhp, a 2.0-litre petrol TSI with 170bhp, or a 2.0-litre TDI diesel putting out either 140bhp or 170bhp among the options.

In addition to the equipment already found on the SE trim, which includes 17-inch alloy wheels, a six-disc CD changer, heat insulating glass from the B-pillar back, six airbags, ESP and ABS, the Match Edition also adds on Park Assist, Bluetooth and iPod connectivity, climate control, a touch-screen DAB digital radio and a leather multifunction steering wheel.

The Tiguan Match Edition starts from £22,110 in the UK, with the 1.4-litre TSI BlueMotion Technology two-wheel-drive model, and is available with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or Volkswagen's 7-speed DSG transmission.
