Maybach celebrates centennial with two limited edition models

Mercedes-Maybach is celebrating its centennial with two limited edition models.

The first, the GLS Edition 100 will get a 549bhp V8 engine. While the second meanwhile, is the S-Class Edition 100, powered by a 604bhp V12.

Limited to 100 example each, both models will get a hand painted two-tone silver/nautical blue finish on the exterior. Their interiors meanwhile, will get a special designo crystal white/silver grey pearl colour scheme.

The familiar Maybach brand logo on the C-pillar of the S-Class and D-pillar on the GLS will also get a special 'Edition 100' inscription, a touch that is repeated across various stowage compartments and the illuminated panels in the interior, as well as on the hub caps of both cars.

Speaking of wheels, both cars are also getting Maybach monoblock forged wheels, sporting a new grey finish.

Comfort for all occupants in the S-Class is guaranteed in true Maybach style thanks to a wheelbase that is extended by 180mm over that of the long-wheelbase S-Class.

Those seated within will also get to enjoy a noise-insulated first-class rear compartment equipped with a Burmester 4D surround sound system, heat and massage functions for the seats, and high-tech screens for infotainment.

The Edition 100 S-Class also gets all-wheel drive.

And those in the Edition 100 GLS will get to enjoy a generous interior with 1,100mm of legroom, all kept steady thanks to air suspension, as well as a soundproofed interior, adorned with the finest leather. Electrically extendable running boards in the GLS also ensure maximum comfort when getting in and out.
