When it comes to SUVs, surely bigger is better? Here are eight massive SUVs to satisfy your desires, as long as you can issue a comparatively sized cheque.

Do you have an enormous budget and love for huge cars? If you do, this is the perfect list for you! Amazed by the sheer number of large cars that are being sold these days, we set out to find the largest SUVs available in Singapore. These eight humongous rides are ranked from large to outright colossal (as width and height of cars are limited by the size of the roads, these cars are ranked by their length). Oh, we also included some tips in case you are at a loss of which to get.

For comparison sake, a Honda Vezel that we frequently see on the roads measures 4,295mm x 1,770mm x 1,605mm (L x W x H).

1. Volvo XC90 T6 R-Design

Price: $346,000
Annual Road Tax: $1,176
Dimensions (L x W x H): 4,950mm x 2,140mm x 1,776mm
Kerb weight: 2,037kg
Engine type: 2.0-litre four-cylinder twincharged
Power: 320bhp

You should get one if: You love shopping at IKEA! Swedish designs appeal to you, and what better way to transport your flat packed D-I-Y furniture yourself other than this Swedish behemoth of a ride! You can't go wrong with a Volvo if you are concerned about safety, as the guys at Volvo are well known to be obsessed about it. This is probably one of the safest vehicles you can find.

2. Audi Q8

Price: $369,300
Annual Road Tax: $2,380
Dimensions (L x W x H): 4,986mm x 1,995mm x1,705mm
Kerb weight: 2,165kg
Engine type: 3.0-litre V6 turbocharged
Power: 335bhp

You should get one if: You are the top salesperson, the proud leader of the top sales team. You have no problem paying the price of a HDB-flat for a car. Seriously, what's a better way to show your success to the world than to bask in the opulence of a gargantuan orange beast on wheels? Oh and did we mention that it’s an Audi?

3. Range Rover Vogue V6 S/C

Price: $511,999
Annual Road Tax: $2,380
Dimensions (L x W x H): 5,000mm x 2,073mm x 1,869mm
Kerb weight: 2,256kg
Engine type: 3.0-litre V6 supercharged
Power: 335bhp

You should get one if: You want to travel in luxury, but still love to hit the outdoor, off-road trails with your car... Nah, who are we kidding, no one actually takes their half a million dollars fancy ride off-road. Is there even any decent off-road trails in Singapore? But it sure wouldn't hurt to know that your Range Rover can go off-road if you want to.

4. Lamborghini Urus

Price: $798,000
Annual Road Tax: $3,944
Dimensions (L x W x H): 5,112mm x 2,016mm x 1,638mm
Kerb weight: 2,200kg
Engine type: 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbocharged
Power: 641bhp

You should get one if: You want to be more family-oriented and there's simply no way to fit your family of four into your Aventador or your topless Gallardo Performante. With 641 wild horses on tap, the Urus only takes 3.6 seconds to reach 100km/h. There's a seriously good chance you wouldn't miss your meaner and leaner Lambos.

5. BMW X7 xDrive40i

Price: $440,000 - $450,000 (expected price)
Annual Road Tax: $2,384
Dimensions (L x W x H): 5,151mm x 2,000mm x 1,805mm
Kerb weight: 2,320kg
Engine type: 3.0-litre straight-six turbocharged
Power: 330bhp

You should get one if: You love German engineering and never settle for anything but the best. The '7' moniker has always been reserved for the flagship BMW sedans, where luxury is guaranteed. With the athletic and elegant design of the X7, you will not only get to enjoy the grandeur of the Bavarian marque's flagship SUV, but also get to commute in impeccable style.

6. Bentley Bentayga 6.0 W12

Price: $888,000 (Parallel Import)
Annual Road Tax: $7,000
Dimensions (L x W x H): 5,140mm x 1,998mm x 1,742mm
Kerb weight: 2,422kg
Engine Type: 6.0-litre W12 twin-turbocharged
Power: 600bhp

You should get one if: You want a luxurious car that can go head-to-head with the archetypal luxury car – Rolls Royce. But you also prefer to be the one behind the wheel instead of being chauffeured around like a VIP (which you certainly are or you wouldn't be considering a $888,000 car). The Bentayga is about as close to the peak of luxury SUVs without breaking a million bucks.

7. Infiniti QX80

Price: $334,800
Annual Road Tax: $6,378
Dimensions (L x W x H): 5,305mm x 2,266mm x 1,945mm
Kerb weight: 2,815kg
Engine type: 5.6-litre V8
Power: 400bhp

You should get one if: You believe in getting the best bang for the buck. Coincidentally you also think that size matters the most amongst everything. The QX80 is the second largest SUV on this list, measuring more than 5.3m long (that would be the height of two HDB units)! Oh the part about bang for the buck? At $334,800, it is also the cheapest.

8. Rolls-Royce Cullinan

Price: $1,268,888
Annual Road Tax: $8,250
Dimensions (L x W x H): 5,341mm x 2,000mm x 1,835 mm
Kerb weight: 2,660kg
Engine type: 6.75-litre V12 twin turbocharged
Power: 563bhp

You should get one if: You want one. I would imagine someone who's considering to spend $1.2 million on a luxury SUV wouldn't be bothered with our opinions. The Cullinan is the epitome of SUVs, being the largest and grandest in this list. With a powerful engine producing 563 horsepower, you can be sure that this mansion on wheels does not lack in the drivetrain department as well.
