Ferrari recalling Scagliettis due to faulty F1 transmission sensor
04 Jun 2008|2,809 views
A nonconforming clutch sensor could overheat under normal operating conditions, making gear shifting difficult, and possibly making the vehicle stuck in gear. A sudden lock-up of the transmission while in gear could also result in a potential crash, making this a safety recall. The vehicle system would detects the clutch sensor failure and cause the warning light to illuminate.
Dealers will replace the clutch sensor. In addition, the cable holder and magnet will also be replaced. Owners of the potentially affected cars are urged to contact Ferrari.
