1 millionth BMW X5 rolls off the production line

The one millionth X5 was a sapphire black metallic X5 xDrive35i model, and the car was earmarked for a customer in China, who ordered the X5 xDrive35i Anniversary Edition with cinnamon brown Nevada leather.

BMW did not reveal more details about the specific vehicle, but the X5 xDrive35i has a 3.0-litre twin-scroll turbocharged inline-six engine that produces 302bhp. The one millionth car marks a significant milestone for the Spartanburg, South Carolina factory ever since it started producing the X5 11 years ago.

The X5 SAV, or sports activity vehicle, is now in its second generation, and is available in some 120 countries. The car can be specified with up to seven seats, as well as a variety of driver-assist systems.
