The Nottinghamshire Police department is expanding its emergency vehicle fleet with 100 new Skoda vehicles - comprising 92 Octavia Combis and eight Superb Estates.
The adopted Octavias will come in both petrol-powered 1.5 TSI and diesel-powered 2.0 TDI SE Tech variants. These vehicles are set to be used in response and neighbourhood policing roles, and will be fitted with emergency warning equipment, a full livery kit and a light bar on the roof.
The Superb Estates joining the department, on the other hand, will fully comprise the petrol-powered 2.0-litre Sportline Plus variant, which comes with all-wheel drive. They are set to be used in dog units and road policing roles.
Retrofitted Superb Estates serving duty in the former will come with a bespoke kennel conversion, to properly house their furry occupants. Separately, the vehicles that will be used as road policing cars come with a full blue light fit, ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition), and a matrix board.
All of the Superb Estates will also be equipped with specialist air conditioning and blue light fitment, in accordance with the Nottinghamshire Police department's specific requirements.
Skoda provides bespoke services for emergency vehicles via the Skoda bespoke emergency service converters, which are available across the U.K. Versatile and spacious, the brand's cars can be specified for Ambulance, Police and Fire and Rescue teams.
The carmaker is also able to integrate a variety of features, such as a communications platform for emergency services, within the infotainment touchscreen and 360-degree lighting.
