Alpine, the iconic French sports car brand, will be making its pioneer entry into the Singapore market under the authorised distributorship of Wearnes Automotive.
The all new Alpine A110 will be making its debut at the Singapore Motor Show from 10 to 13 January 2019.
The showroom and service centre of Alpine will be located at 45 Leng Kee Road, alongside Wearnes' existing array of luxury marque showrooms.
This facility will be part of the new eight storey Automotive Centre for rare and vintage car collections, slated for completion in the first quarter of 2019.
Ever since Alpine's establishment in 1955, it has competed in the highest levels of international motorsport and recorded a string of famous victories that belies the brand's modest size. Races successes include the overall victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1978, and the FIA World Rally Championship in 1973.
By the mid-90s, Alpine had racked up 26 domestic and international rally titles, four rallycross championships and six single-seater titles.
The A110 is equipped with a new 1.8-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged engine that produces 252bhp and 320Nm of torque. The excellent power-to-weight ratio as a result of its low kerb weight enables the A110 to accelerate from 0-100km/h in only 4.5 seconds.
Reservations for the A110 have already crossed the 5,000 mark globally, and the engineering language of this elegant sports coupe remains true to Alpines' core principles of absolute agility, thrilling performance and handling precision.
