Asian launch of new AXA custom insurance programme

AXA Insurance Singapore launched their all new 'SmartDrive' automotive insurance programme at the classic Red Dot Design Museum, right at the heart of the Central Business District (CBD), amidst the fashionable crowd of several members of the media, guests and celebrities.

SmartDrive is the latest product offering by the notable French based insurance firm that claims to offer Asia's first truly custom and tailored car insurance programme that revolves around the driver's coverage wants and needs.

AXA believes akin to how drivers carry different traits and characteristics, their insurance coverage programmes should follow suit too.

Unlike your conventional one-plan-fits-all approach, SmartDrive has been designed to cater to a wide range of motorists from all backgrounds and takes into consideration your marital status, driving habits, lifestyle and with AXA's SmartDrive For Her plan - your gender.

Like a handphone subscription plan, the building blocks of a SmartDrive insurance programme begins with seven core insurance plans, AXA SmartDrive Essential, Essential Plus, Flexi, Flexi Plus, FlexiFamily, Peace and For Her. Each plan is tweaked to best accommodate what the driver requires.

All seven basic plans offer coverage benefits including windscreen repair, around the clock towing and transportation in Singapore, Peninsular Malaysia or Thailand and among others, coverage for third party, fire and theft.

The seven core coverage plans can be enhanced with five value added packs including providing coverage for overseas drives, second driver and among others, family protection. A further 11 'add-on packs' maximise the coverage plan and benefits which include phone assistance and roadside support, medical and dental expenses or provision of a temporary replacement car when your ride is undergoing repairs due to an accident.

SmartDrive is the result of an intensive study and research work, which started two-years ago, and included surveying more than 1,200 customers here. Most were between the ages of 30 to 50 with a car life of no older than five years.
