Audi has pulled the covers off a new member of the e-tron GT family: The e-tron GT quattro, which now marks the base variant of the lineup.
The new Audi e-tron GT quattro has a system output of 370kW (496bhp), which can go up to 430kW (577bhp) with Launch Control. Thanks to its 105kWh battery, the new model is able to deliver a range of up to 622km.
This base model also features a remarkable charging performance of up to 320kW, allowing the e-tron GT quattro to put 285km worth of range back into its battery in just 10 minutes.
Embodying the Audi Gran Turismo philosophy, large wheels, a sleek coupe-like silhouette, and an extended wheelbase contribute to the car's sporty proportions. At the front, a black mask accentuates the inverted Singleframe in the body colour, while at the rear, an elegantly designed diffuser with vertical fins makes for a powerful finish.
Inside, the driver and front passenger travel in luxury on eight-way adjustable sport seats with integrated headrests that prove particularly comfortable on long journeys. The rear seat backrest can be partially or completely folded down so that sporting equipment can be stowed in the 405-litre trunk.
The intelligent quattro system distributes the drive torque between the front and rear axles at lightning speed, ensuring optimum traction in a wide range of driving conditions, by analysing the driving situation and adjusting the power distribution accordingly. Interestingly, Audi states that the e-tron GT quattro weighs 30kg less than the S e-tron GT - which should bode well for both its efficiency and dynamism.
Like the previous GT models, the new e-tron GT quattro will also be produced at the Audi Sport GmbH Bollinger Hofe plant in Neckarsulm, Germany, and is currently available for order in Europe.
