Audi has unveiled a new Q6 e-tron offroad concept that showcases the potential of the PPE platform, with an increase of 160mm in ride height and a 250mm wider track as compared to its normal variant.
The newly developed prototype features two electric motors with a combined power output of 380kW (510bhp), and thanks to its newly designed portal axles, increases torque at the wheel by 50%. While this lowers its top speed to 175km/h, it also enables the concept car to climb gradients of up to 45 degrees.
In addition, the concept car boasts four of the newly designed portal axles developed from scratch and integrated into the wheel hub assemblies at the front and rear axles. This necessitated partial changes to the suspension links.
The Q6 e-tron offroad concept can be seen in action on 1 February 2025 at the F.A.T Ice Race and on its various social media channels.
