Bentley has revealed the 'Belonging Bentayga', a special car that features a unique hand-painted exterior drawn from memory by Stephen Wiltshire MBE, a British architectural Artist and autistic savant who is known for his ability to draw a landscape after seeing it just once.
The Belonging Bentayga features the skylines and well-known buildings from cities including New York, London, Paris, Rome, Milan, Venice, Tokyo and Hong Kong, with each side of the car representing a different continent.
The car has been made as another step in Bentley's mission to become the most diverse luxury car manufacturer in the world. The firm has set out a five-step strategy focusing on outreach, recruitment, succession, planning, culture and development to enhance diversity and inclusion at its Crewe-based factory.
The Belonging Bentayga is said to be the first car from the firm that has been hand-painted this way, and its design also incorporates many drawings of people, representing the different nationalities of the world united in one design.
Bentley only recently revealed the 'Unifying Spur', a car made by the Bentley Design team to celebrate diversity in all its forms. Based on the nine colours of the Progress Flag, the Unifying Spur is said to represent the unifying power of humanity, regardless of race, creed or sexuality.
