BMW Golf Cup World - said to be the largest international amateur golf tournament in the world - has officially come to a close, with customers from the BMW Asia markets turning in excellent performances for the region.
The event, which was held from 2 to 7 March 2025 at the Alpine Golf Club in Bangkok, brought together 108 finalists, out of which 14 were from BMW Asia markets including Brunei, Guam, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore and Vietnam.
Comprising three individual categories (Ladies, Men 1 and Men 2) and one National Team category (based off the total points accumulated by the team across the three individual categories), the tournament saw the finalists duking it out to emerge on top.
Team Vietnam was undeniably dominant, placing 1st in the Ladies category, 3rd in the Men 1 category, and thus also 1st overall among all National Teams. Following behind it in the latter were Team China in 2nd place, and Team Japan in 3rd.
The Men 2 category also saw a participant from the Philippines, Mr Kyle Justin, placing 3rd.
Sending his congratulations to the winning participants following the event's conclusion, Mr Lars Nielsen, Managing Director of BMW Group Asia, also continued, "Being a BMW customer is not just about owning a car, it is about being a part of a community of individuals with similar interests. Golf is one of these pursuits that many of our customers bond over and we look forward to creating even more unforgettable memories for them in the years to come."
While official dates have not been revealed yet, registrations of interest for the next iteration of the BMW Golf Cup are now already open. Interested customers within the BMW Asia region may find out more at the link here.
