BMW reveals the M2 CS Racing MotoGP Safety Car

BMW is marking the first of its celebrations planned to commemorate the 50th anniversary of BMW M GmbH with this: The BMW M2 CS Racing MotoGP Safety Car.
The first thoroughbred race car to be used as the lead car in MotoGP, the car is set to makes its first appearance on 6 March 2022 as it heads to the Grand Prix of Qatar.
The BMW M2 CS sports an engine generating up to 444bhp, while its ABS and Dynamic Stability Control get motorsport-specific tuning. A mechanical limited-slip differential with pre-load and separate cooling, as well as specially manufactured drive shafts and a carbon roof finish off performance touches on the car.
For its role as the MotoGP Safety Car, the BMW M2 CS Racing only required modifications in a few areas, including the addition of light bars and front lights. The livery of the new BMW M2 CS Racing MotoGP Safety Car is a reference to the 50th anniversary of BMW M and is based on the anniversary logo of BMW M GmbH.
