BMW's Regensburg plant sets record of 100,000 EVs produced

BMW Group has announced that its Plant Regensburg has achieved another major milestone, hitting the 100,000 mark in terms of EVs produced in 2024.
The milestone vehicle, a BMW iX1, has been produced by Plant Regensburg for customers worldwide since November 2022. This particular unit was finished in Blue Bay Lagoon metallic and will be shipped to the island of La Reunion.
BMW also announced that more than a third of the vehicles produced at Plant Regensburg for the year were electrified, meaning either a plug-in hybrid or an all-electric variant. The plant has produced well over 330,000 vehicles in total for this calendar year, exceeding the amount in 2023 of 238,301 vehicles.
