Cabby fined and banned for causing hurt to a passenger in another vehicle

A taxi driver failed to give way to a motorist, which resulted in a collision and caused the front seat passenger of the car to be hurt. 73-year old Goh Kim Seng has pleaded guilty to performing a negligent act that endangers life, and was fined $4,000 and banned from driving for 12 months.
The accident took place along Bukit Batok East Street 52 on 24th January last year. Goh had failed to give way to 24-year old Yang Zhihao, who had the right of way, which resulted in the collision.
The front seat passenger in Yang's car, 25-year old Tan Lan Eng, suffered fractures and head injuries from the accident.
Goh could have been jailed for up to 24 months and/or fined up to $5,000 for causing grievous hurt by doing a negligent act.
