The Caterham Seven Kamui Kobayashi special edition will be limited to just 10 examples and would go on sale in Japan at ¥6 million per piece (S$73,972).
Based on the 125bhp rated Seven 250 R, the Caterham is packed with an array of performance focused features, hand chosen by the Formula One driver.
The Ford sourced 1.6-litre Sigma engine can accomplish the century sprint in 5.9 seconds and continue to climb to a maximum 196km/h.
The exterior is finished in high-gloss black with matt black sport stripes. Every Kobayashi edition wears a number 10 badge on its nose - the number of the Japanese F1 driver.
The front wings and rear wing protectors are finished in carbon fibre infused with a unique Caterham green lacquer, the first of the Seven models to offer this finish.
The single seater features an aluminium tonneau cover over the passenger seat area. A matching single sided rollover hoop is fixed to the rear bulkhead, with all new 13-inch diamond cut black wheels. There is also a polished chrome rear exit exhaust system to complete the dynamic styling.
Inside, occupants are greeted with a carbon fibre dashboard detailed with Caterham green lacquer, which will be personally signed by Kamui. The carbon fibre constructed sports seat contains contrasting green stitches while a Kamui logo on the head rest and a green Takata branded four-point harness can also be found.
Other features include special Kamui gauge inlays, an anodised green gear knob with Kamui word mark and an anodised green key.
