Citroen and Total celebrate a 50-year partnership

This year marks the 50^th anniversary of a partnership studded with business and racing successes that have helped to build both companies' international standing. Citroen and Total have put in many miles together since 1968. Their success story, built on innovation and passion for motorsports, has taken the two brands all the way to the top of countless podiums.

Since the partnership began in 1968, Citroen and Total have worked together to drive Citroen's industrial growth worldwide by jointly developing lubricants specifically for Citroen engines to make them more fuel efficient and environmentally friendly.

The environment is a core concern for both Citroen and Total. Both brands have pledged to drastically curtail their environmental impact, notably by reducing carbon emissions. Their research and development teams co-develop specific solutions that fit the bill. Today their efforts have culminated in the new Total Quartz INEO First 0W-20, a synthetic oil for pollution control systems that improves fuel economy by as much as four percent.
