Citroen has revealed new details of the C3 Aircross.
The car will span 4,390mm long, measure in at 1,790mm and sit at a height of 1,660mm tall, and will now be available with a third row of seats, allowing the crossover to carry a total of seven.
The crossover gets head lights and taillights that follow from the Oli concept, alongside a front that makes use of vertical lines alongside a high and horizontal bonnet to deliver a robust appearance, while at the rear, its long rear window comes without a deflector to ensure that plenty of light gets delivered into its cabin.
And this light will be needed, as the car is now able to ferry a total of seven. Easy-tilt seat backs in row two will facilitate access to this third row, which features two comfortable and retractable extra seats. These consist of a seat and two backrests that can be folded 50/50, providing a flat load surface when not deployed. Those seated here will have access to armrests, cupholders, a USB socket, a footwell and air conditioning.
This seven-seater version of the Citroen C3 Aircross will offer a total boot volume of 40 litres with all seats deployed, and a total of 330 litres of cargo space when the third row is folded down. Customers will be also able to opt for a five-seater variant of the C3 Aircross, which comes with a 460-litre boot.
A large rear door and the easy-tilt seat backs in row two allow for easy access into the third row of seats of the Citroen C3 Aircross
This five-seater version of the C3 Aircross has a 40/60 bench seat that is mounted 65mm further back than on the seven-seater version.
The car will be offered with a range of drivetrains including a mild hybrid option that utilises a 1.2-litre engine equipped with a variable geometry turbocharger and paired with a dual-clutch automatic transmission and a 28bhp electric motor. This drivetrain will deliver a system total power output of 136bhp.
A 100bhp 1.2-litre engine that comes paired to a six-speed manual transmission will also be offered.
Finally, an all-electric drivetrain will also be available, although customers will only be able to get this with the five-seater C3 Aircross. This electric C3 Aircross comes powered by a 113bhp electric motor that in turn, is fed by a 44kWh lithium iron phosphate battery.
Charging this battery can be done at a maximum power of 100kW and Citroen expects the C3 Aircross to post a range in excess of 300km with this battery, although it does also state that a version equipped with a different battery will be offered come 2025, which will extend the maximum range of the crossover to over 400km.
Citroen's Advanced Comfort suspension technology will come as standard for all variants of the C3 Aircross. The car will also be offered with a 10.25-inch infotainment system that offers access to the car's navigation, telephone, radio, application and media functions alongside Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility.
