Citroen reveals new Holidays campervan

Citroen has unveiled the Citroen Holidays, a campervan based on the refreshed SpaceTourer.
At the front, the Holidays gets the same dashboard as the SpaceTourer, which comes complete with a new 10-inch digital instrument cluster as well as a 10-inch HD touchscreen central display that allows control over the multimedia environment as well as vehicle configuration functions, on top of offering Android Auto and Apple CarPlay compatibility.
But at the back is where things radically differ.
Instead of simple space to transport cargo, the Citroen Holidays gets a bench that slides and unfolds to offer a 1.15m wide and 1.90m-long sleeping space. And should you need to bring another couple along on your holiday trip, the Citroen Holidays also comes with a bellows-style retractable roof section that hosts a second 1.20m wide and 1.95m-long bed as well as a window and integrated blinds.
Climb back down and you'll find the Citroen Holidays also comes with a kitchen complete with two gas burners, a 16-litre fridge and a retractable table. Combined with the pivoting front seats, these will allow four to share a meal indoors, even when they are out in the great outdoors.
But should they crave a little al fresco dining, the Holidays two sliding doors (available as electric items as an added option) alongside its lateral rails on each side that allow the integration of a rolling awning should prove handy.
The campervan is also said to come with a 10-litre tank for storing clean water, and a 10-litre tank for wastewater. A shower at the rear, coupled with a 25-litre tank, and removable toilets, can also be equipped in the Citroen Holidays. The campervan will be offered with either a 144bhp diesel engine paired to a six-speed manual gearbox, or a 177bhp diesel unit that comes paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission.
