Drunk driver on wrecking rampage

In what seems to be a drunken crashing spree, a driver hits a lamp post, before steering his car into nine parked vehicles.

In the early hours of yesterday, a man drove his grey Subaru into the lamp post and hit a wall, and left the scene. Half an hour later, he returned and created more havoc - crashing into nine cars in total.

The Chinese evening daily reported an eyewitness' account, describing the rampage which came to a halt when the car got trapped between two vehicles. The driver then tried to move his car, but slumped back and fell asleep when his car would not budge.

All vehicles affected were parked in the open air car park in Potong Pasir Avenue 3.

The Police were notified at around 2:40am. The male driver was suspected of drunk driving and has been arrested.
