ERP rates to be adjusted at selected CTE gantries

Since the partial lifting of circuit breaker measures on 2 June 2020, more people are now resuming their daily travel to and from their workplaces, consequently, traffic volume has also gradually increased during peak hours on weekdays.
On the Land Transport Authority (LTA)'s third review of the Electronic Road Pricing (ERP) rates following the circuit breaker, it is found that, while traffic speeds have remained optimal on arterial roads and most expressways, localised congestion is observed at specific locations along the CTE during the morning and evening peak periods.
In order to manage the congestion on the CTE during peak periods, LTA will be increasing the ERP rates by $1.00 at specific gantries on the CTE, with effect from 31 August 2020.
With the revised ERP rates, motorists who are travelling on the Southbound CTE Auxiliary Lane to Pan Island Expressway (PIE) (Changi)/Serangoon Road between 7:30am to 8:00am will be charged $1.00 at the gantry.
Meanwhile, motorists travelling northbound on the CTE will be charged $2.00 (up from $1.00 previously) at two gantries located after the PIE, during 6:00pm to 6:30pm and 6:30pm to 7:00pm respectively.
The adjusted ERP rates from 31 August 2020 are produced below:
Location | Time period | ERP rates from 31 August 2020 |
Southbound CTE before Braddell Road | 8:00am - 9:00am | $1.00 (unchanged) |
Southbound CTE Auxiliary Lane to PIE (Changi)/Serangoon Road | 7:00am - 8:00am | $1.00 ($1.00 increase) |
Northbound CTE after PIE - set of 2 gantries | 6:00pm - 6:30pm and 6.30pm - 7:00pm | $2.00 ($1.00 increase) |
