EV-Electric Charging Pte Ltd (EVe), a subsidiary of LTA, has awarded its second tender - comprising of three contracts - to deploy mostly fast chargers at publicly accessible carparks. Two of these will go to ST Engineering Urban Solutions Ltd (CD103 and CD106), with the last one going to SP Mobility Pte Ltd (CD105).
This marks another milestone in EVe's commitment to expand the network of public EV charging points across Singapore and builds upon its first tender, which was launched in June 2024 and awarded to Volt Singapore and CDG-ENGIE, further accelerating efforts to enhance Singapore's EV charging infrastructure.
The charger deployment will be rolled out in two phases that are scheduled for progressive deployment in 2025 and 2026, with the first site anticipated to be operational by end-2025.
With the growing adoption of EVs, this latest tender aims to further supplement Singapore's EV charging network beyond HDB residential and commercial premises, as well as supporting the electrification of commercial vehicles and allowing EV drivers to have more charging destination options.
Stephanie Tan, CEO of EVe, stated that placing fast chargers at industrial areas helps to support the diverse needs of EV drivers and the electrification of commercial fleets. She also stressed that EVe's goal is to "make charging convenient and reliable so drivers can spend less time waiting."
