Ferrari to auction first F12berlinetta to help Hurricane Sandy victims
13 Nov 2012|3,504 views
The first F12berlinetta to visit the U.S.A will be auctioned away next weekend, (probably) in conjunction with the United States Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas. The proceeds from the sale will be donated to the American Red Cross to support relief efforts from the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.
The special Ferrari will be finished in Rosso Berlinetta with a choice of either a black or cuoio (camel) coloured interior. Other bespoke options can be requested by the buyer - like to have the hood autographed by the F1 drivers from Scuderia Ferrari. To authenticate the sale and noble intention, the coupe will be delivered with an official letter where it will also be recognised as the first F12berlinetta in North America.
As an added benefit (or token of appreciation), the forthcoming owner will be invited to attend the Ferrari Corso Pilota driving course at a location of their choice of Fiorano, Italy or Mont-Tremblant, Canada. For most of us who cannot afford the hefty price tag of the prancing horse, Ferrari has also set up a special Ferrari-American Red Cross contribution page.
In September this year, Ferrari auctioned off a 599XX to raise funds for the victims of the Emilia-Romagna earthquake that was bought by Google executive Benjamin Sloss.
