Four new bus services for Choa Chu Kang, Queenstown and Punggol

Residents in Choa Chu Kang, Queenstown and Punggol can enjoy better connectivity soon as four new bus services will be rolled out in the coming months.
Details of these four bus services are being worked out at the moment, and these services will be introduced under the Bus Service Enhancement Programme (BSEP).
The Land Transport Authority (LTA) said that as of December last year, 550 Government-funded buses have been brought into service, with a total of 36 new or improved bus services implemented.
With 38 more buses deployed to 34 bus routes during morning and evening peak hours, a total of 480 peak-hour bus trips were added to reduce crowding and shorten waiting times.
The LTA added that another 450 buses will enter service by 2017, with priority given to improving frequencies of feeder bus services during peak hours. Also, the number of new routes will be increased from 40 to 80.
