Omoda unveiled the new C3 during Auto Shanghai season

Almost the entire auto industry has congregated in Shanghai during this period for the biennial Auto Shanghai where brands showcased their latest and greatest.
Apart from being an exhibitor at the auto show, Chery also held its 2025 International Business Summit in Wuhu over the same period. The fourth largest automobile manufacturer in China invited stakeholders and the media from all over the world to experience and learn more about its products.
During the summit, Chery unveiled its upcoming product, the Omoda C3, to the world. The Omoda C3 is a crossover that is positioned under the Omoda C5 (or the E5 that we are more familiar with), and it looks nothing like the latter.
The C3 has been designed with an all-new design language that has never been applied on the brand's prior products. Sculpted with precision, featuring sharp, geometric lines reminiscent of interstellar battleships, the striking C3 is described to have been designed with 'Cyber-Mecha' aesthetics.
Sharp lines, angular creases and a pair of wide haunches give the Omoda C3 a truly striking exterior design
The C3 features plenty of sharp creases and angles, reminiscent of the Lamborghini Urus and Lotus Eletre, exuding a striking air of sportiness that should appeal to many. The side profile of the car consists of even more sharp creases, with muscular fender flares that adds to the robust look of the C3. The wide haunches work with the sleek L-shaped taillights to complete the aggressive exterior of the car.
Designed by a group of young designers (Omoda says the design team's average age is only 28), the C3 has been made to appeal to young drivers. In-line with the youth-centric approach, the cabin of the C3 has been designed with gamers in mind - with DisplayPort connectivity, you can connect your Nintendo Switch or other gaming devices to utilise the large infotainment display for on-the-go gaming.
Gaming connectivity aside, the cabin of the C3 has been styled as a futuristic command centre. Dubbed the 'Starship Cockpit', it draws inspiration from aviation and performance design, featuring fighter jet-style instrumentation and mechanical switchgears to provide an immersive cockpit experience.
There isn't much details provided at the moment, however the C3 is expected to be offered in both petrol and new-energy powertrains (hybrid or electric). The C3 is set for a global official launch in October this year, and we can expect to have more information about the car then.
