Under the bonnet, the Brio is powered by a 1.2-litre i-VTEC engine taken from the Jazz, which produces 90bhp and is mated to either a five-speed manual or a CVT transmission. Fuel consumption is quoted at 4 litres per 100km, while the Brio also meets the latest Euro 4 emissions standards.
The Brio models that will be sold in Thailand will come with features such as two front airbags, disc brakes, ABS and EBD (Electronic Brake Distribution), while cars sold in India will have slightly different specifications tailored to the market needs.
"The Brio will meet the driving and lifestyle needs of people who are looking for a stylish and compact, yet spacious and fuel-efficient car that carries a brand that they can trust for its advanced and safety technologies," said Atsushi Fujimoto, Honda Thailand president.
